Whole grain foods are high in fiber. Whole grains also have more nutrients, such as vitamin E, vitamin B6, the B vitamin pantothenic acid, magnesium, manganese, zinc, potassium, chromium, copper and protein. Whole grain maintains bran, germ and the starchy endosperm.
200 g (7 oz) wheat, whole grains.
330 ml (1/2 pint) warm water,
2 - 3 tbsp honey,
100 g (3,5 oz) walnuts,
100 g (3,5 oz) poppy seeds
sugar to taste
Place wheat in a mixing bowl and pour on the hot water, add sugar and stir. Cover and cook wheat until tender. Chill.
Grind walnuts and poppy seeds to a medium fine consistency, add honey. Mix together with the cooked wheat. If you want add boiled water to taste.
