Chocolate Kissel (jelly) - a wonderful and easy dish for anyone to try.
2 tsp cocoa
2 - 3 tsp sugar
8 oz milk.
1/4 - 1/2 oz potato starch
You need 12 - 15 grams (1/2 oz) of potato starch for thick Kissel, 8 - 10 grams (2/3 oz) for medium thick Kissel and 4 - 7 grams (1/4 oz) for thin Kissel. 190 - 200 grams (8 oz - 1/2 lb) of milk is required for one portion of Kissel.
1. Mix cocoa, sugar and 1 tbsp of milk, stir thoroughly so there are not any lumps.
2. Than add this mixture to boiled milk. Reduce the heat.
3. <*> Potato starch mix thoroughly in a dollop of milk, and than gradually add to boiled milk, constantly stirring! Simmer for 0,5 - 1 minute on low heat, stirring regularly.
